Quedlinburg and Goslar
UNESCO World Heritage sites Coach Tour
Approximate timings: 10.00 – 17.00
Take in the incredible views as we travel by coach through the Harz region, visiting Quedlinburg & Goslar.

Quedlinburg is located on the northeastern edge of the Harz Mountains, it is known as an almost 1100-year-old half-timbered city full of Romanesque buildings, medieval walls and towers. The town has over 2,000 half-timbered houses and villas spanning eight centuries, making it one of the best examples of a medieval European town. Quedlinburg was the capital of the East Franconian German Empire during the Saxonian-Ottonian ruling dynasty and was also ruled by women for 800 years, from 966 to 1802.

Goslar is a medieval imperial town nestled in glorious natural surroundings on the slopes of the Harz Mountains. History is visible all around Goslar, from well-preserved half-timbered houses to the Romanesque Imperial Palace elevated over this thousand year old city. Other delights include Market Church St. Cosmas and Damian which feature 13th-Century stained-glass windows, in this fairy tale place.

Wernigerode
Day at Leisure
The popular town of Wernigerode with its historic town centre and lavishly restored and colourful half-timbered houses, lies on the northern edge of the Harz Mountains. The town hall on the market square, the crooked house, the smallest house and the oldest house are just some of the features that make up Wernigerode's rich half-timbered idyll.

Wernigerode Castle towers majestically over the town, providing visitors with interesting insights about the 800-year history of the counts and princes of Wernigerode. The castle gardens are part of the 'Garden Dreams' - a circular walk that offers a wonderful opportunity to combine a visit to the castle, terrace garden and pleasure garden.
