Choose from four classes of travel on The Emerald Isle Belle; Dining options in Prestige Deluxe, Prestige and Signature, or Classic Non-Dining.

All passengers will experience the charm of travelling by steam through the verdant scenery of Ireland on board our private train of inviting “Craven” carriages, meticulously cared for by the Railway Preservation Society of Ireland. The Irish version of the Mark 2 carriages built in the UK in the 1960s for the last days of steam, the carriages have large picture windows with sliding stoplights through which the sound of steam echoes and the odd smut adds extra authenticity! Unlike most of the world, Ireland’s railway network eschewed the traditional 4 ft 8.5 inch gauge choosing instead a 5 ft 3 inch broad gauge which makes their carriages much wider than a standard UK vehicle.

For many the most exciting aspect of the train is that in true Irish tradition there is a Bar Car - essentially a pub on wheels – which boasts the only draught Guinness available on a train anywhere in the world! It’s a wonderful place to enjoy a pint while savouring your journey in company with the engaging and knowledgeable RPSI team.

We are committed to providing the best available hotel accommodation in each area for each package, allowing you to experience the destinations in true comfort and style. Your hotels have been chosen personally by our team for their service, location, and facilities.

All packages include a luggage porterage service between hotel stays, coach transfers when required and an experienced and attentive Belle Trains representative on the train and at each hotel for a truly relaxing holiday experience.
