The Harz Mountains Belle
Tuesday 13th May - Wednesday 21st May 2025
We recently returned from our inaugural tour - The Harz Mountains Belle - a nine-day adventure in which we traversed some beautiful parts of Germany, culminating in the wonderful Harz Mountains for three days.

Featuring run-pasts, exquisite on-board dining, piano renditions in 'Le Diamant Bar', a steam-hauled journey to the highest peak in Northern Germany and visits to three historic German cities – the tour aimed to give guests the railway holiday of a lifetime.

The Harz Mountains Belle featured 2 nights in each of the beautiful cities of Nuremberg and Dresden, 3 nights in the charming Harz Mountains, and one night back on the banks of the Rhine in the lovely town of Wiesbaden.
Around 1000 miles of steam haulage on the German Mainline and the Harz Mountains Railway including the remarkable trip to the top of the Brocken.
Travelling on the mainline on one of the most luxurious private trains in Europe including the Prestige Continental Express set from Switzerland and First Class coaches from the Suisse Train Bleu as well as traditional German restaurant carriages.
