Ireland

Belle Trains partners with the Railway Preservation Society of Ireland (RPSI), using its historic Cravens carriages in the Republic of Ireland and alternative rolling stock for journeys into Northern Ireland. The RPSI also provides the main-line steam locomotives used throughout Ireland.
Craven Bar Car

A unique feature of the cravens set is the Cravens Bar Car, the only place to serve draught Guinness on a train throughout the world. Staffed by the knowledgeable and engaging RPSI team, the bar is well worth a visit with passengers from all classes welcome.

Prestige Deluxe
The Carriage

Prestige Deluxe passengers are seated in the most recently refurbished Cravens carriage.

Its restoration includes fresh wood panelling, ambient lighting, bespoke moquette, carpeted walkways and tastefully refurbished restrooms. Table lamps and window curtains add to the carriage’s warm and elegant atmosphere, subtly setting it apart from the rest of the train.

Seating

The carriage retains its original layout of 64 seats arranged around 16 tables, each normally accommodating four passengers.

In Prestige Deluxe, however, each table is reserved for a maximum of two guests. Parties of two enjoy their own private table, while groups of four are allocated two tables across the aisle, creating a more intimate space. Single travellers share with no more than one other passenger.

Dining

Prestige Deluxe passengers enjoy delicious light meals prepared on board by our chef and kitchen team.

Menus and meal services are carefully planned around each itinerary, with an emphasis on seasonal local ingredients and regional specialities. On holidays in Ireland, any inclusive evening meals for dining-class passengers are served at the hotel.

Drinks

Complimentary tea, coffee and drinks from the Prestige Deluxe drinks menu are available throughout the journey, served by the waiting team and from the bar.

A selection of additional drinks is also available to purchase.
